UPCOMING EVENT

A Day of Dignity is a community-driven event designed to honor and uplift individuals experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. Unlike traditional donation drives, this pop-up experience allows guests to choose their own clothing, hygiene products, snacks, and more — all in a warm, welcoming space that feels like a true shopping experience. Our goal is to go beyond giving — we want every guest to feel seen, valued, and respected. From free resources to empowering conversations, A Day of Dignity is a reminder that everyone deserves kindness, choice, and care.

About us & our organization

We are two fourth-year students from Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University, driven by a deep passion for service, community, and justice. Through our nonprofit, KC Cares, we aim to restore hope and dignity to people experiencing homelessness by providing fun, transformative experiences.

As HBCU students and young black women, we’re committed to turning our education into action—uplifting others, sparking change, and creating impact, one act of kindness at a time.

New Edition: KCCARES is growing! Our organization will now partner with schools across Atlanta, Georgia, to provide middle school students with STEM enrichment, community service opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to college, graduate school, and future careers.
